Joseph LaBrie

Wind Symphony Conductor

Joseph LaBrie holds a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Louisiana State University and a Masters Degree in Instrumental Conducting from Sam Houston State University and the American Band College. Since 2003, he has been working at Carl Sandburg Middle School in Alexandria, VA. He enjoys teaching band classes at all levels, as well as percussion classes and an after school Jazz Band. His professional affiliations include VMEA and VBODA. Mr. LaBrie is an active member of the Fairfax Wind Symphony percussion section and has performed with many local wind ensembles. A native of Prince William County, and a former member of YOPW, Mr. LaBrie is looking forward to working with the YOPW Wind Symphony.
